# Portals

A **portal** is a single page of apps that you share. Make one per audience: a "Family" portal with Jellyfin and Overseerr, a "Team" portal with internal tools, one portal per client.

People you add sign in and see only that portal. They never see your other apps, your servers, or your account.

## Create a portal

1. Go to **Portals** and click **New Portal**.
2. Enter a **Name** and, if you like, a **Description**.
3. On the Admin plan you can also upload a **Portal logo**. Free portals use the default icon.
4. Click **Create Portal**.

Each portal gets a link like `seawise.io/d/family-1cbdcb43`, shown at the bottom of its card with a copy button.

## Add apps

Click the apps icon on the portal card (**Add apps**, or **Manage apps** once it has some).

* Tick an app to add it, untick to remove it.
* Drag the handle to change the order apps appear in.

An app can be on as many portals as you like. Its icon and nickname show on every portal.

## Share it

Click the people icon (**Add people**) and add email addresses. See [Sharing a Portal](/portals/sharing.md).

## Portal menu

The gear icon on a portal card has:

* **Edit details**: change the name, description, or logo
* **Make portal public** / **Make portal private**: see [Public Portals](/portals/public-portals.md). Not recommended unless every public app on it is secured for the internet.
* **Delete**: removes the portal and its list of people. Your apps aren't affected.

On the Admin plan, the globe icon on the card sets up a [custom domain](/portals/custom-domains.md).
